Fundraising
We send the donations you receive online to your chosen charity on a weekly basis, there's nothing you need to do. This way, they never have to wait too long to put the money you raise towards their amazing work.
If applicable, we also reclaim the Gift Aid on all eligible donations and send this extra income to the charity each month.
If your charity has any questions about the funds you have raised, please ask them to get in touch with our amazing charity support team - they'll be happy to help!
If you'd like your page to be removed from the site, or you've created a page by accident, you can cancel it from within the control panel:
- Log into your account and on the left hand side, click 'Edit' alongside the page you'd like to cancel
- Click on 'Cancel your page' and 'Please cancel my JustGiving page'.
Alternatively, you can expire your page, that way it's still visible on the site but donors can no longer donate to it. Here's how: - Log in to your account
- You'll see your active pages on the left hand side, click 'Edit' underneath the page you'd like to manage
- Click on ‘Extend your fundraising page’ - this can be found under 'Page Settings' on the right hand side
- Enter the date for the following day, then your page will expire the next day
- Click 'Save'
If you'd like to cancel an old Fundraising Page that's expired or reactivate a cancelled page, drop us an email and we can do this for you.
When logging in, enter your email address and click on ‘Forgotten your password?’, we’ll send you an email with a prompt to reset it.
Not getting our emails? Check your junk or spam folders, as well as adding email@contact.justgiving.com to your safe sender list, this should take care of the problem.
If you're taking part in an event that you've organised and the date has changed, let us know the details and we'll change it on your page.
If you're taking part in an official event, like an organised run or cycle, we can't make any changes to the event details. You'll need to highlight the correct dates in the title, summary or story section of your page.
Alternatively, you may prefer to close your page and set up a new one for the new event of your choice.
You can update the offline total to reflect what was raised on your cancelled page - don't worry, your chosen charity will still receive the money you've raised.
If you are taking part in a large event that has been postponed, we'll update the event date for you, we'll also extend the expiry date of your page so your page won't close before your event.
Technical Questions
- Login to your JustGiving account and view the Fundraising Page you wish to connect with. Scroll down slightly on your Fundraising Page and select the ‘Connect Strava’ button.
- You’ll then need to login to or register with Strava (it's free!). We also do not charge anything to use this functionality
- Finally, confirm some Strava permissions and select and save your fitness settings/preferences.
You can sync your device with Strava, so that all fitness activities you do using your FitBit/Garmin will show in your Strava account, which can then automatically appear on Fundraising Pages you have connected.
At this moment in time however, you do need a Strava account (it’s free!) to show fitness activities on your JustGiving Fundraising Pages. But Strava does integrate with most of the fitness devices available today.
- You haven’t selected any Sports Types to display. You can check and select these by going to your fitness settings, which you can get to from the button ‘Manage Strava Settings' shown on your fundraising page. You must be logged into JustGiving to see this.
- Not all the sports types you wanted to show have been selected. You can check and select these by going to your fitness settings, which you can get to from the button ‘Manage Strava Settings' shown on your Fundraising Page. You must be logged into your JustGiving account to see this.
- Only fitness activities that you do after the date you connected your Fundraising Page to Strava will display on your Fundraising Page. So any older fitness activities that you have in Strava won't be displayed on your Fundraising Page.
- Make sure your Strava privacy setting is not set to “Only me”.
